Connect your Stripe to get started
Two quick steps. Paste a Stripe key and Upmend handles everything else automatically.
1
Create a restricted key in Stripe.
- In your Stripe dashboard, go to Developers → API keys
- Click Create restricted key
- Choose "Customize permissions for this key"
- Name it Upmend
- Search "Webhook" in the permissions list and set Webhook endpoints to Write — this lets Upmend listen for failed payments on your account
- Leave everything else as "None"
- Click Create key and copy it (starts with
rk_)
2
Paste your key below and click Connect. Upmend will set up everything on your Stripe account automatically.
Connected! Upmend is now watching your Stripe payments in real time.
Your key is used once to set up the connection, then discarded. Upmend never stores your Stripe key.
